(B shift) will mark the 6th annual Stache-Tober Fest at Stone Brewery. The fest draws Fire fighters and civilians alike in a unified attempt to grow some of the most beautiful and pitiful mustaches America has to offer. Prizes are gathered from frequented local venues and are then given as booty to the 100+ contestants in the Stone garden. ALL proceeds go to local charity and all hard feelings are condensed into a serum that will be added to a batch of Stone’s Self-Pity Ale the morning after.
The night begins with a Beer tour at 5pm (first come first served), with free beer tasters to follow. Dinner will be served at 6pm and can only be PRE-PURCHASED on our website: www.stachetoberfest.net/store . The cost is $25 and includes: Caesar salad, seasonal veggies, garlic mashed potatoes, beer mac n cheese, Stone Levitation BBQ’d chicken and pretzel wrapped brats. If you’ve never eaten at Stone, this is a steal! Only 300 dinners will be sold. Beer…and beer…and beer will be available all night long with $1 of every Stone Beer going toward the charity. So all you winos and imports are just gonna have to suck it up for one night and drink with the firefighters.
Mustache contest will be at 7:30pm in the garden. If you wish to participate, take a photo of your clean shaven face next to a dated newspaper on or after August 24th and upload it to http://stachetoberfest.net/stachetoberfest-rules-submission/ or send it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Prizes will be given to the 6 week growers, existing staches as well as women’s fakey stache’s (or real ones if you can grow ‘em). But most prizes will be allotted to the 6 week growers. Some of you may be thinking, “well, I haven’t gone through puberty yet, that’s not fair!” Don’t you worry, we really want to make fun of you and we’re willing to reward you handsomely for your attempt.
T-shirts are also available (with a new logo), $15 for men’s and $20 for women’s (The women’s shirts are spun by elves, so their more expensive; elf unions are ruthless). All t-shirts purchased can be purchased on the site and MUST be picked up at the event unless you opt to pay for shipping. www.stachetoberfest.net/store
This is a great cause and a ton of fun, please support it. Grow a stache, buy a beer and a shirt and come see why firefighters are so fun to hang out with.
The recipient of the funds has not yet been chosen but, as in years past, will definitely be worthy of it (just ask Matt and Marlene). Feel free to follow us on face book, search: “StacheToberFest” and news will follow as it comes.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Please pass the word
